Antik Denim:
Is best known for it's intricate workmanship from detailed hand embroidered pockets,
leather patches, and whip stitching. Antiks are truly masterpieces, works of art unlike
any other. It was created by childhood friends, Phillipe Naouri and Alexandre
Caugnant, formally known for their work with Diesel, Levi's and the European line GOA.
They teamed up with Blue Concept's Paul Guez to create a denim line inspired by the
1900s to 1940s Western work wear. Exclusive Japanese and Italian fabrics are used
for their quality and comfort. Antik has been seen on celebrities such as Jamie Fox,
Halle Berry, Hillary Duff, Cameron Diaz, J-LO, Tyra Banks, and Heather Graham
to name a few. Antik typically sports the low pockets creating a much sought after
individual style and fit much like Sevens and True Religion.
Citizens of Humanity:
Best known for its vintage look and high quality construction. Jerome Dahan and
Michael Glasser founders of 7 For All Mankind are also the creators of this amazingly
hot denim. Citizen's waistband is not contoured, making them much more
accommodating and less likely to produce the infamous "plumbers backside." Citizen's
of Humanity's jeans are noted for their universal fit and consistent sizing based on the
fit model Paige Adams-Geller. Citizen's 2% stretch denim has a tendency to "stretch
out" of size during wear, so its best to buy a size down.
7 For All Mankind:
Michael Glasser and Jerome Dahan started the 7FAM brand in early 2000. Today, a
pair of these jeans can be found in every denim fanatic's closet and seen on almost
every celebrity. 7FAM has amazing washes from their core basics to seasonal hitters.
They are often rather tight and low-rise featuring elements of distressing. These jeans
are known for their fit and the ability to look great on all body types. Since most Sevens
contain stretch, it is best to go down one size in these styles.
